PES prepared an economic and fiscal impact analysis for the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) to understand the redevelopment potential of 435 acres along Ordnance Road in Anne Arundel County, MD. The Maryland Port Authority (MPA) previously prepared an application to the Maritime Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation for conveyance of the former Curtis Bay Depot. MDOT is currently negotiating the purchase of the property from the U.S. General Services Administration and plans to redevelop the property for use as a major container storage area and distribution center with a major Intermodal Container Transfer Facility. Anita Morrison detailed the potential jobs and taxes related to the redevelopment of the site and overall fiscal impact on Anne Arundel County and the State of Maryland.
